An easy to use Inbox that puts you back in control.
The Inbox makes it easy to use a different email address for every website and then deletes the email address to unsubscribe.
Members of the community share newsletters and website information to protect each other's privacy and save time.
Display your messages ranked by the importance of the sender. Quickly toggle between different collections of senders.
Designed for quick access and high functionality, you can assign a colorful collection tag to your email and the Inbox maintains it all by importance, contacts, and by date received.
Subscribing to Simpledata allows you view community feedback, subscribe to community shared newsletters, and share newsletters with the community.
* Personas are used to generate new email addresses, and help protect your privacy, and anonymity online. A community persona is required to share newsletters.
Yes. Organizations offering free email services do so to build and maintain your advertising profile. They analyze the contents of all your email, tracking your habits, contacts, and interests. This information is maintained along with your advertising profile and sold to marketers who can target you for marketing across the Internet.
The Simpledata Inbox does not review your emails, build an advertising profile, or participate in the online advertising marketplace. We are a community of members and Sponsors who believe in a better way to communicate with privacy, security, and control.
You don’t have to delete your existing email account. Use the Simpledata Inbox for any organizations that request an email address from here forward.
Organizations do not want you to unsubscribe from their email list. Unsubscribing is a lost opportunity to market their products to you. Organizations will fight to make it difficult to eliminate any sales opportunity.
Unsubscribing is tricky, and often impossible. Most senders refuse to provide a functional unsubscribe link, even when they are required to under the law. Countless people search for opt-out / unsubscribe buttons that do not exist, or are not functional.
Organizations intentionally make unsubscribing difficult. Here’s how:
Make you log into their website to update email preferences
Hide the unsubscribe option on their website
Engineer unsubscribe functionality to purposefully not work
Purposefully complicate unsubscribing
Create unnecessary steps to unsubscribe
Require a telephone call to unsubscribe
Verify your identity to unsubscribe
Demand a grace period of up to 90 days
Simpledata Unsubscribe stops unwanted emails from flooding your inbox. We stop unwanted email from flooding your inbox in two ways:
In subscription settings, assign a low priority to the subscription. It will be received, and available through your Contacts or Subscriptions tab, but will not appear in your inbox.
In subscription settings, click unsubscribe. This will delete the unique Simpledata email address for that organization, and no further messages will be received.
Clicking an unsubscribe link in an unwanted email can do more harm than good. Here is why you should think twice before clicking unsubscribe:
Malware and Viruses can hide behind unsubscribe links, waiting to infect your device
Devices are identified, and tracked, based on who clicked unsubscribe
Unsubscribing, even legitimately, builds your identity based advertising profile, that is used for targeted marketing.
Fake emails are sent, that impersonate legitimate services, and clicking unsubscribe shows a fake page requesting any identifying information, social security numbers, account numbers, usernames and passwords to unsubscribe.
The Simpledata unsubscribe functionality has been created to keep you safe. Here’s how you are safer from third parties using Simpledata unsubscribe:
You can not be tracked
You cannot receive malware or viruses
Your device is not identified or tracked
Unsubscribe is guaranteed
Email applications can not determine the importance of your incoming messages. If notifications are turned on for an email application, your device will notify you for every email that you receive.
You assign an importance level to each subscription in your inbox. Very important subscriptions will notify you of new messages. Unimportant subscriptions will leave you in peace, to check them when you desire. You can change the importance of a subscription at any time, for any duration.
For example, did you just order something online? Do you want to be notified of shipping order details? In subscription settings, adjust the subscription importance to max value and you will get notified for every message. Then, after the item arrives if you don’t feel like reading the constant additional sales pitches, adjust the importance lower.
Inboxes allow you to block an individual email sender by creating a filter, and sending their email automatically to the trash. Unfortunately, that sender is still allowed to send email from different email addresses to you. The sender can create many multiple email addresses and continue to harass you, no matter now many times you block them.
The only way to stop this behavior is to take legal action, or change email addresses.
The Simpledata Inbox does not have a generic email address that accepts mail from any source. Instead, we create subscriptions by using a unique email address for each organization from whom you want to receive email. These subscriptions are seamlessly managed, organized, and in your control.
